How should I take Sapropterin LogixX?

Experienced doctors and dieticians start and supervise the therapy of patients suffering from phenylketonuria. They determine the daily dose of sapropterin dihydrochloride on an individual basis according to the Phe levels in the blood.

When should I take Sapropterin LogixX?

Patients usually take the medicine once a day with food. Establish a routine - always take it at the same time of day, preferably in the morning or as advised by your doctor or dietician.

Sapropterin dihydrochloride

In fact, it only takes 15 seconds!

Sapropterin powder for oral solution is available in two different dosages: 100mg or 500 mg of active ingredient. Dissolving in just a few seconds, it offers maximum flexibility in daily intake and compliance with the therapy prescribed by your doctor.

How do I dissolve the powder solution?

For children, dosing aids are needed: Marked measuring cup (20, 40, 60, 80 ml); 10 ml application syringe; 20 ml application syringe.

You can get these at the hospital or at the pharmacy.

The doctors or dieticians will tell you how much Sapropterin LogixX powder you need every day.

Pouring medication from a sachet into a glass of water as the first step in preparing a medical dose.

Step 1

Pour the contents of the sachet(s) into a graduated glass by adding a defined amount of water.

Stirring the medication in water for 15 seconds to dissolve as the second step in medication preparation.

Step 2

Dissolve the powder while stirring for about 15 seconds.

Using a syringe to remove the prepared medication dose from the glass as the third step in the preparation process.

Step 3

Pour the contents of the sachet(s) into a graduated glass by adding a defined amount of water.

The daily dose of sapropterin dihydrochloride is determined individually on the basis of the amount of phenylalanine in the blood. The drug is usually taken once a day during a meal, at the same time of day and preferably in the morning or as advised by your doctor or dietician.

Sapropterin LogixX is also available in soluble tablet form. However, they need more time to dissolve in the water. Please do not swallow the tablets unless advised. Please talk to your doctor, dietician or pharmacist if you are unsure about taking this medicine.
